Clarissa Matthews is a lifelong resident of Connecticut and was born and raised in Hartford County. Prior to opening her firm, Clarissa Matthews worked as a law clerk in the Superior Court for three years assisting Judges with civil, family, housing and child support matters. Clarissa is certified as a Guardian Ad Litem and Attorney for the Minor Child, as well as a Mediator where she helps mediate financial and custody disputes in dissolution actions pending in Superior Court. While attending Quinnipiac University School of Law she played multiple leadership roles, including serving as President of several law student organizations. She obtained skills in trial advocacy while competing in the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial and Frederick Douglass Moot Court competitions. During law school, Clarissa also worked as a research assistant and participated in Quinnipiac Law School's legal clinic. Prior to graduating, Clarissa also worked for various state agencies and a private business law firm handling premises liability, housing, criminal law, health and education issues. Clarissa also sits on the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyer's Section and works to serve the community through various other organizations statewide.  Contact Clarissa Matthews so she can be an advocate for you!
