While at NELB, he practiced under the supervision of a licensed attorney for indigent clients in matters including eviction and tenant disputes, bankruptcy and foreclosures, criminal expungements, and criminal defense with the local public defender’s office. After graduating from law school, Mr. Bustamante began his legal career by working in contract law, personal injury, and general tort litigation in the Commonwealth of Virginia & District of Columbia courts..
