Kent Hanszen is triple Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization -- Civil Trial Law, Residential Real Estate Law, and  Commercial Real Estate Law.  He also enjoys an AV "Preeminent" rating from Martindale-Hubbell's Peer Review Ratings. He brings a broad perspective to litigation, having worked for both large and small firms, as well as having developed his own practice. He specializes in real estate and business transactions and disputes, including contract negotiations and litigation, title matters, business owner issues, insurance coverage disputes, and employment and non-competition issues. Kent strives to provide his clients with practical solutions to their concerns, giving honest and candid information and analysis, enabling the client to make the best decision given their circumstances.. Kent earned his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University. He is licensed to practice in all Texas State courts, the Federal Courts of the Southern , Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Kent has practiced before the courts in more than seventy counties in Texas and before numerous state courts of appeals. Kent has practiced in every federal district in Texas, the Western District of Oklahoma and the Southern District of New York. Kent also is a Certified Mediator through the A. A. White Institute associated with the University of Houston.Kent was born in Many, Louisiana and grew up in Carthage, a small town nestled among the piney woods of East Texas. Prior to entering law school, Kent utilized his business education while working for the defense contractor General Dynamics and subsequently as an auditor for NCNB Texas National Bank (now known as Bank of America).
