During law school, she clerked for several estate planning law firms, the Harris County Probate Court, and worked in the Tax Clinic, assisting low income taxpayers. She was also the managing editor of the Texas Journal of Business Law.. As a student, Heidi continued to volunteer pro bono in the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic at South Texas after the course was over and even after she graduated. During her volunteer time, she took the lead role in preparing a U.S. Tax Court for trial and successfully represented the client in court as a student attorney. In addition to representing clients in Tax Court, Heidi is experienced in representing clients before the IRS in tax controversies.. Heidi is currently obtaining her L.LM in Tax with a concentration in Estate Planning from Boston University. She will graduate in May 2021.. Heidi also has experience in drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, power of attorneys, and guardianship documents. She is experienced in drafting basic estate plans as well as more complex planning, such as asset protection and tax planning for high net worth clients.
