Mr. de la Garza focuses his practice primarily in business transations and civil litigation including complex business litigation and personal injury law. Prior to joining DLG Luce, Mr. de la Garza practiced with a well-respected Plaintiff's litigation firm handling similar matters. Mr. de la Garza has spent a signifiant amount of time practicing in both the San Antonio and Austin local courts, and in doing so he has gained invaluable courtroom experience in both civil and criminal litigation.Mr. de la Garza received his law degree from St. Mary's University School of Law in 2006 and his B.A. from the University of Texas in 2003. While in law school, Mr. de la Garza worked as a teachers assistant for the current Dean of the law school, served as a student mentor and was a brief writer and oralist in the 2006 Jessup International Moot Court Competition.Mr. de la Garza's interest and expertise in international law and business is well evidenced by his study and travel experience. In 2003, Mr. de la Garza studied international politics at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Madrid, Spain and in 2006 Mr. de la Garza continued his legal education by participating in international trade related coursework at the Amsterdam Law School in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
