Tiffany Bowders is a life-long Memphian who graduated summa cum laude from the University of Memphis in 2004 with a major in political science and a minor in French. She attended the Univerarity of Memphis on both music and academic scholarships. During her junior year she attended the Universite Catholique de Lille in Lille, France, focusing on international studies. Tiffany earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2008.. While in law school, Tiffany served as an associate editor for the University of Memphis Law Review, where her Note, From Georgia v. Tennessee Copper Co. to Massachusetts v. EPA: An Overview of America’s History of Air Pollution Regulation and Its Effect on Future Remedies to Climate Change, was published in spring 2008. She was a national finalist in the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition in White Plains, New York and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Diane K. Vescovo, United States Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Tennessee.. Since her admission to the Tennessee Bar in 2008, she has participated in several organizations in the legal community including the Memphis Bar Association Leadership Forum and the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inns of Court. She is active in the Memphis Bar Association, including the Memphis Bar Association Family Law Section, and the Association of Women Attorneys.. Tiffany concentrates her practice in the areas of family law and probate/estate planning, enabling her to provide comprehensive guidance and representation both during and after the divorce process. She handles cases involving all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody/parental issues, child support, termination of parental rights, adoption, and Juvenile Court matters. Tiffany is also passionate about assisting clients with planning for their families’ future through the preparation of wills, trusts, special needs trusts and powers of attorney. She routinely practices before the Shelby County Probate Court handling the administration of estates, conservatorships, small estates, muniments of title, and name changes.. As the mother of two special needs children, Tiffany especially enjoys assisting families of special needs children with finding the best legal solution for their family when their children turn eighteen. Tiffany as an enthusiatic supporter of early childhood literacy and is an annual supporter of The Bodine School, where both of her children have attended school.. Tiffany currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Bodine School and the Advisory Board for Girls, Inc. of Memphis. Additionally, Tiffany is a member of the Business League for The Orpheum Memphis, which provides funding for theater and education programs for children across the MidSouth.. Tiffany is a volunteer attorney with The Women’s Advocacy Center, providing pro bono represensation and legal services to women in crisis situations.. Tiffany and her family are members of St. Patrick Presbyterian Church and are active in many aspects of the Memphis community.
