Jim Guse leads Barker Martin's Insurance Coverage practice group and advises on insurance matters across the firm. With over 24 years of experience, Jim focuses on representing individual and corporate policyholders in insurance coverage disputes. He has extensive litigation experience, including appearances in administrative hearings, state and federal courts, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Jim is licensed in Oregon, Washington, and Florida, and has performed legal work in many other states, including California and Idaho.. In addition to his legal work, Jim is a recognized speaker and author on insurance topics. He has presented seminars in Oregon, Washington, and California, authored numerous articles on insurance coverage, co-authored a chapter for the Oregon State Bar CLE on actions by and against insurers, and contributed to the Oregon State Bar's Real Estate Deskbook.. Beyond his professional practice, Jim is actively engaged in his community. He is a former Chairman of the Board for School House Supplies, an organization supporting public school classrooms in need. He has volunteered as a youth coach for baseball and basketball.
