Katherine Krems represents employees in discrimination, sexual harassment, and whistleblower retaliation cases. She specializes in ensuring employer accountability by advocating for whistleblowers and promoting gender equity in the workplace by eradicating sex discrimination, including that based on pregnancy and related conditions and LGBTQ+ status. She is focused on compassionately and creatively finding solutions for her clients, while maximizing her clients’ recoveries and aiming to inspire systemic change.. Prior to working for KCNF, Katherine was an Associate at a small, boutique employment law firm in the DC-metro area. She has also worked a congressional staffer, where she focused on strengthening legal protections for the rights of workers, women, and marginalized groups. As an attorney and advocate, her goal is to use the intersection of law and policy to achieve a more equitable and just society.. Katherine attended the George Washington University Law School, where she was Senior Articles Editor of the Federal Communications Law Journal, a student attorney with Rising for Justice, and an intern at the D.C. Coalition Against Domestic Violence. In addition to her law degree, Katherine holds an M.A. in Nonfiction Writing from Johns Hopkins University. She received her B.A. from Wesleyan University, where she was co-captain of the Women’s Swim Team. She is the mother of three young children and a dedicated yoga teacher and practitioner.
