I am a transactional attorney with experience in entertainment, technology, corporate, intellectual property and general business transactions. In the course of my practice at an international law firm as well as an Am law firm, I have advised "name brand" clients on transactions covering corporate formation, partnership and joint venture agreements, negotiation of organization documents, licensing and distribution of entertainment content, production legal work in the motion picture and TV industry, talent agreements for above the line talent like actors, directors and producers as well as below the line talent, corporate financing, project finance and infrastructure developments, merger and acquisition, copyright and trademark registration, analysis and general advice and internet technology transactions covering IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, software licensing, master services agreement, cloud storage services agreement and enterprise platform licensing.. Prior to this time, I was an Associate at the international law firm of Aluko & Oyebode. I also worked in the in-house legal of Bank of America, N.A. and business and legal affairs of BET Networks, a Viacom Company. I was also a law clerk/contract attorney at the Entertainment, Technology and Advertising Practice Group of Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, LLP. I obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (JD Equivalent) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 2008, graduating in the top 5% of my class, where I participated in the moot and mock trials and debates and contributed to the law faculty’s Law Review. I was licensed as an attorney in 2009 after graduating from the Nigerian Law School. In 2011, I obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Media, Entertainment and Intellectual Property Law from the University of Southern California Law School. I am a licensed attorney in the State of California and a member of law associations including the Beverly Hills Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association and John M. Langston Bar Association. I am a public speaker and facilitator at events that provide capacity building for artists and independent producers in the media and entertainment industry. I also participate in legal aid clinics.
