Facing a legal issue can be a trying and scary time.  Our legal system is confusing and, at times, unjust. My goal is to make the legal system more accessible by helping clients understand their rights. Each client has a unique situation that deserves individualized and personal attention.  My clients are always my number one priority. I listen to each client to determine his or her individual needs and expectations. I promptly return phone calls and emails. I vigorously and effectively advocate for each of my client’s rights. We all have a voice, and I ensure that my clients’ voices are heard.. I focus the majority of my practice on issues involving the family: adoption, divorce, custody, child support, maintenance, and surrogacy contracts.  I am routinely appointed by local judges as a guardian ad litem in cases where custody and placement are at issue. I take a holistic and compassionate approach to family law.  I encourage mediation, settlement meetings and conferences when appropriate. However, I also understand that some issues are better left for a judge to decide.. I was born and raised in northeast Wisconsin. I graduated from Lawrence University in 2007 with degrees in government and Spanish.  I played college basketball and break out my skills every year at our alumni game.  I obtained my law degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 2011.. I currently live in Wisconsin Rapids with my husband Jamin and our 3 rescues.  We spend our weekends attempting home renovation projects on our 1917 bungalow.  When I’m not chasing my animals or pretending to be the next HGTV star, I serve as a health and fitness coach for women and a youth basketball coach.  I also dabble in gluten free and paleo cooking and food photography.
