Craig Cushing was born in Schenectady and grew up in Scotia-Glenville, where his parents and many of his friends still reside. He is a graduate of Binghamton University and of Albany Law School, having obtained his Juris Doctor in 2004.. While attending law school, Craig won the Domenick L. Gabrielli Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition, and was selected to represent the law school in an interscholastic advocacy competition in North Carolina. Craig was also picked to work in the Litigation Clinic at Albany Law School, where he successfully represented several members of the community who had been denied unemployment benefits.. Craig was admitted to the New York State Bar in January 2005 and to the United States District Court of New York in June 2007. He was also admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2011.. Craig has been with Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, LLP since he was in law school, working first as a legal intern and then as a full time attorney.. While working for the firm, Craig has handled a variety of personal injury cases from start to finish, obtaining excellent results for his clients. He has tried cases to verdict in both State and Federal Court, but also understands that sometimes the best result for a client can be obtained outside of the courtroom.. Craig is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association and the Albany County Bar Association. He also volunteers his time to provide free legal services in Family Court and to persons alleging violations of their civil rights..
