Mr. Griess received his J.D. from the University of Virginia in 2003 and began his career in litigation representing both plaintiffs and defendants in the areas of insurance defense and bad faith, personal injury, commercial disputes, and construction. Mr. Griess started The Griess Law Firm, LLC at the end of 2010 to focus on building his business practice. After 5 years on his own, Doug joined Hackstaff Snow Atkinson & Griess, LLC in January 2016. Today, Mr. Griess practice includes business law, tax, merges and acquisitions, commercial transactions, exit and succession planning, estate planning, and trademarks.. Since 2015, Mr. Griess has been a regular national instructor for attorneys and other professionals on LLC and estate planning topics facilitated by the National Business Institute.
