Jonathan Kurta is a founding partner of Kurta Law where he focuses on securities arbitration cases.  Mr. Kurta has extensive experience arbitrating customer claims involving broker-dealers before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), where he has handled hundreds of cases throughout the United States, including cases involving stocks, bonds, options, mutual funds, private placements, real estate investment trusts (REITS), structured products, annuities, life insurance policies, Auction-Rate Securities, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Prior to founding Fitapelli Kurta, Mr. Kurta represented large and medium sized brokerage firms throughout the country. This experience gives Mr. Kurta a unique background that is extremely beneficial to Claimants.. In addition to his practice before FINRA, Mr. Kurta is also an experienced commercial litigation attorney, where his practice focuses on complex securities and real estate litigations. He has extensive experience litigating cases in State and Federal trial and appellate courts in New York and New Jersey.. Mr. Kurta received his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law where he served as an Editor of the Labor and Employment Law Journal. He also graduated from New York University, where he earned his B.A. in both political science and psychology.
