About Matthew Springmeyer
I received a Bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Literacy Studies (writing emphasis) from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2010. I attended law school at California Western School of Law in San Diego, CA. I graduated in the top ten of his class with Magna Cum Laude Honors in 2013.. While in law school, I was the Co-Chair of the Community Outreach Committee, which focused on providing law students with volunteer opportunities. I was also on the Dean’s Honor List every trimester and received Pro Bono and Public Service honors for my extensive hours dedicated to helping others. Additionally, I was the Executive Notes and Comments Editor for the California Western International Law Journal, as well as a member of the California Western Law Review.. I worked as a federal judicial extern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Ruben B. Brooks, Southern District of California. I have also worked for the San Diego County Public Defender in the Multiple Conflicts Office, the Legal Aid Society of San Diego—where I worked in their Pro Bono Clinics for unlawful detainers and restraining orders, and the United States Attorney’s Officer for the Southern District of California where I worked in the Narcotics Enforcement Section. I am licensed to practice law in all the California state courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
