I served as the director of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program in Oklahoma, where I provided lower-income clients with personal and professional tax preparation at no cost. It's this work that spurred me to join the Modest Means Incubator Program with California Lawyer's for the Arts and open my own firm. During law school I worked with a patent prosecution firm and a large university technology transfer office, where I gained experience in patent prosecution and licensing.
