I focus my practice on patent and trademark procurement and infringement litigation. With regard to patents, I specialize in the acquisition of patents in the mechanical, electro-mechanical, medical device and business method arts. Representative industries include automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, industrial lighting, medical devices, and consumer products, among others. I am a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (1998) and of Michigan State University (Go Spartans!), B.S. Mechanical Engineering (1982).. I am a member of the State Bars of California and Texas and am a Registered Patent Attorney.. Prior to beginning my legal career, I enjoyed a 12 year career as an Aerospace Engineer at Hughes Aircraft Company and the McDonnell Douglas Corporation working on communications satellites, the C-17 Globemaster cargo aircraft and the International Space Station.
