Prior to graduating law school, she participated in the Sixty Plus Elder Law Clinic (Lansing, MI), where she assisted clients in preparing their wills, probating loved-ones' estates, and protecting the over-60 population from predatory business practices. In that clinic she was encouraged to engage in the practice of therapeutic jurisprudence, an approach she continues to use in her day-to-day practice.
