Sean P. Thordsen earned his undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He thereafter attended Chapman University School of Law in Orange, California gaining distinction by receiving the CALI AWARD in Entertainment Law and working with Film Makers Legal Clinic drafting contracts for film makers. He is a member of the California and Nevada State Bar Associations.. Sean P. Thordsen has also served as a board member at large and Board of Directors Officer for the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA) which owns and operates Anime Expo, the largest anime convention in the United States, home to 100,000+ attendees per year. Sean Thordsen served in this position for six years alongside his legal career until terming out as Chairman of the Board of Directors per the company bylaws..
