Thordsen has also served as a board member at large and Board of Directors Officer for the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA) which owns and operates Anime Expo, the largest anime convention in the United States, home to 100,000+ attendees per year. Sean Thordsen served in this position for six years alongside his legal career until terming out as Chairman of the Board of Directors per the company bylaws.. Sean’s area is in wills and trusts for asset protection as well as to avoid the long process of probate.
