She received her Juris Doctorate from Drake University in 2007 and was admitted to the Iowa State Bar in the same year. She was later admitted to the Meskwaki Tribal Court.. Magda received her Bachelor of Science degrees in animal science and journalism and mass communication from Iowa State University in 2003. While at ISU, Magda competed on the equestrian team, worked as a polo groom for the Des Moines Polo Club, and completed an internship with Equine Resources International, an equine marketing, public relations, and marketing firm outside of Philadelphia. She also spent a semester abroad studying equine science at the University of Limerick in Ireland..
