Thomas earned his Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University School of Law in May 2002. While in law school, he served as an Articles Editor for the Indiana Law Review and made the Dean’s List for three semesters. Before earning his law degree, Thomas obtained a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Indiana State University in May 1998. In undergraduate school, he made the Dean’s List for six semesters, was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, and was a recipient of the R. Christopher Perry Memorial Pre-Law Award. Thomas is currently licensed to help clients in the state of Illinois.. Before joining the Springfield, Illinois divorce and family law attorneys at Stange Law Firm, Thomas most recently worked for the Office of the Illinois Attorney General as an Assistant Attorney General and then as an Assistant Unit Supervisor. Here he was tasked with supervising the Assistant Attorney Generals in the Civil Trials Unit of the General Law Bureau, representing State agencies and employees in State and Federal courts and proceedings before the Illinois Civil Service Commission, State Police Merit Board, and the Illinois Humans Rights Commission, drafting and filing answers to complaints, pleadings, motions, and memorandums of law, responding to discovery requests, and trying cases before judges and juries. In total, Thomas brings over 20 years of legal experience as an attorney to his role at Stange Law Firm and he looks forward to using this experience to help his clients rebuild their lives..
