Matt was a founding member of the Forbes Legal Council, he served as General Counsel to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, and volunteered as the Chicago Chapter of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. He was also an adjunct professor at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law where he taught a course called "Emerging Technologies."
