Modupe Sobo was born and raised in London, England. In 1993 she graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in England with a Bachelor of Law Degree with Honors LLB(Hons). In 1997 she graduated from Chicago Kent-College of Law-Illinois Institute of Technology with a Juris Doctorate of Law (JD).. Less than a year after graduating from Law school, Modupe Sobo, began working for herself as a solo practitioner, specializing in the area of Family Law. She, therefore, handles divorces, both contested and uncontested, Paternity, child support, parenting time (visitation/custody), and decision making. "I enjoy helping people get through what is often, one of the most stressful times in their lives. There is nothing more rewarding to me than having a client say a heartfelt Thank You".. Modupe is a Certified Arbitrator with the Mandatory Cook County Arbitration program, where she hears and decides civil disputes.   In addition, Modupe Sobo is a Certified Mediator, having trained with the Center for Conflict Resolution.. Modupe is a firm believer in the mantra "To whom much is given, much is expected." She volunteers at her church, thereby providing legal advice and representation to people who are less fortunate. As a result of her work with her church legal clinic, Modupe has received multiple  Community Service Awards, from the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.. Modupe enjoys traveling, playing tennis and cycling.
