Terrie Benson Murray graduated Summa Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Fredonia with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and also a member the Bar Association of Erie County. She is President of the Board of Directors for the Family Justice Center of Erie County. She served the "Fopunding Mother" of the Southtown's satellite of the Family Justice Center, a provider of services for victims of domestic abuse. She now serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Family Justice Center of Buffalo and Erie County, continuing her commitment to fighting domestic violence and abuse. She is a founding member and officer of PEO Chapter CM, a women's organization dedicated to assisting women who wish to pursue higher education, by providing scholarships and loans..
