My Buffalo, New York practice is solely focused on guiding my clients through the complicated and often confusing maze of social security disability claims.   I have received the most professional satisfaction from helping people with whom I have developed personal relationships.. I used to work for a large social security disability law firm and realized it wasn’t for me.  I was frustrated at only talking to my clients at the initial meeting and having no contact with them until right before a hearing.  I like to interact with my clients and get to know them as individuals.  I feel that by communicating with my clients and understanding who they are I am better able to represent them.. I understand what you are going through having family and friends whom are disabled.  They have gone through the process of applying for social security disability benefits and I have been there to witness their daily activities and struggles.. I have been involved with the legal community as well.  I have been quoted by the Buffalo News, Buffalo Law Journal and the Christian Science Monitor. I have taught CLEs (education courses for other attorneys), been on legal discussion panels and have spoken to numerous community groups.  I testified before the New York Senate to help pass a law against predatory mortgages. I worked with the Attorney General’s office as well as Senator Schumer’s office, appearing at a press conference with Senator Schumer on Rent to Own predatory loans.  I wrote articles for the Erie County Bar and New York State Banking Department.. On a more personal level I reside in Amherst with my husband Steve and have two daughters. Also residing with my family are two spoiled chihuahuas, Meeka and Cookie.
