Ms. Dhanens graduated with her J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida in May of 2017. While she was a student there, she was a member of the law review. She served as an associate editor for the 2015-2016 school year and was appointed Executive Articles Editor for the 2016-2017 school year. Her student note: "The Perfect Storm: Monumental Impacts of a Historic Drought on San Joaquin Valley Farmers" was selected for publication in the 2017 law review journal. Ms. Dhanens was actively involved in student groups including the Women's Law Association. Additionally, she volunteered with a local parish high school youth group on Sundays. During the summer of her second year, Ms. Dhanens clerked with the Thomas More Society, a non-profit law firm in Chicago that specializes in First Amendment cases.. Prior to law school, Ms. Dhanens received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio.. Ms. Dhanens is active in the following organizations: Will County Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and the Catholic Bar Association.. Ms. Dhanens was admitted to the Illinois Bar in November of 2017.
