Gene Mechanic is a Portland, Oregon labor, employment and health law attorney who started his legal career as a litigator with the New York State Attorney’s General Office and who, as recognized by to the Oregonian newspaper, "has a history of legal success . . in three decades defending Oregon . . . employees. Gene is a National Fellow of the prestigious College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and the 2006 recipient of the “Labor Practitioner of the Year Award” by the Labor and Employment Relations Association. He is past chair of the Oregon State Bar Labor and Employment Law Section and is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar’s Health Law Section..
