Ellen Nicholson Byrne practices law in Sea Isle City, Cape May County, New Jersey.  Born and raised in the Philadelphia and Montgomery County, PA area, she moved to Sea Isle in 1991.  She has been in law practice since 1987, first in Center City Philadelphia, then five years with a large firm in Atlantic City.. As she grew up, Ellen learned the value of community service and involvement from watching and participating with her parents.  As a young teen, a Girl Scout mentor urged her to consider the law as a vehicle to truly help her community and those around her become the best they can be.  These two quotes inspire her actions:  "Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth."  (S. In addition to her law practice, Ellen is very active in the community.  She has served on various boards and committees, including Girl Scouts of the South Jersey Pines, United Way, Sea Isle City Board of Education, Cape May County Advisory Commission on Women, fundraising committees for St. Joseph Church of Sea Isle, and Cape May County Women Republicans.  Currently, she serves as service unit manager for the North Cape May service unit of Girl Scouts of Central & Southern New Jersey, as well as troop leader to two Girl Scout troops.
