In addition to complex construction defect litigation, Ms. Flaherty's practice also revolved around consumer protection litigation. These claims arose in both state and federal courts alleging violations of California's consumer protection statutes - the Unfair Competition Law, the False Advertising Act, and the Consumer Legal Remedies Act.  Specifically these cases involved allegations of unlawful or fraudulent business practices, product liability, and false and deceptive advertising practices. There she discovered her passion for holding corporate wrongdoers accountable and affecting positive change for consumers through the legal system.
