I graduated from Vanderbilt University (B.A.) and Baylor Law School. I'm a former prosecutor and love being in the courtroom. This job is a good fit for me because I believe we have a duty to take care of each other and the world we live in.. Being arrested or charged with a crime is a stressful time, especially if it is your first experience with the criminal justice system. Each client has his or her own concerns and priorities. We will work to find a solution that best meets the needs of your case— whether that means challenging the legal grounds for your charge, resolving the case quickly with as light a punishment as possible, or presenting the evidence in a trial. You have the right to a fair trial where prosecutors must prove all elements of every charge, beyond a reasonable doubt.. I know that good people can make mistakes and false accusations are often made. There is a lot at stake and you deserve to be treated with dignity and care. I understand that a criminal record will follow you as you make your way in life--it’s necessary to keep that record as clean as possible in order to have all doors open in the future.. I'll advocate for you at pre-trial. If a resolution can’t be reached, we will leave no stone unturned in preparing the best defense. When I’m working as your lawyer, you will be more than a case file or number in the system. I will patiently answer your questions and return your calls.
