Ryan represents parents and students in educational legal matters in the Pacific Northwest. After working at an education law firm representing school districts as well as a general litigation firm, he is excited to get back to his true passion of working with and advocating for parents and students.. Ryan first became interested in education law after interning with his law school's education and disability legal clinic where he represented the educational rights of low-income students with special needs. He enjoyed this experience so much that he interned at the education and disability legal clinic two additional terms. He was ultimately honored with the Outstanding Clinic Intern Award for his graduating class, as well as the Pro Bono Service Award, in recognition of his contributions to low-income communities. Upon graduation, he clerked at the education and disability legal clinic.. Ryan has also written on several areas of education law, including student free speech as it relates to sexting and cyberbullying, technology in the classroom, educational equality and charter schools, and teacher tenure reform.
