About Deborah Hupfer
Attorney Deborah Hoover Hupfer was born in Alabama, but she grew up in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, South America. After graduating high school, Deborah returned to the United States in 1996 in order to attend college. She graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2000 with a degree in Spanish and Political Science.. Following college, Deborah spent 6 years working for the Bolivian Consulate of Oklahoma where she helped people obtain visas, renew passports, and establish businesses both in the United States and in Bolivia. During her time with the Consulate she also assisted in arranging for a number of financially destitute, severely injured Bolivian children to be brought to the United States for medical treatment at Shiners’ Hospital in Texas.. Deborah left the Consulate in 2007 to pursue a career in Law at Oklahoma City University School of Law. During her time at OCU, Deborah participated in OCU’s Immigration Law Clinic, interned at Catholic Charities in Oklahoma City, and represented OCU Law in the American Constitution Society Moot Court Competition. She also served as a Student Ambassador, as Vice-President of the Immigration Law Association, and as Treasurer of the Lesbian and Gay Law Student Association - a position which ignited a passion for protecting the rights of alternative lifestyle families in Oklahoma.. Deborah graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law in May of 2010 and was admitted as a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association in September 2010. She began serving as an Associate Attorney with Alvarez de Bennett Law, P.C. in Oklahoma City, OK where she focused on Family Law & Immigration Law.. In the summer of 2012, Deborah decided to stop commuting to the city every day and instead open her own firm, LIBERTY LAW, PLLC in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Liberty Law, PLLC officially opened its doors in August 2012. In addition to Immigration and Family Law, Deborah has added Bankruptcy, Student Loan Law, and Mediation to the list of services offered by her firm.. Deborah firmly believes that everyone deserves a chance to live the American Dream, and because of this she strives to provide exceptional legal services to all her clients regardless of their nationality, immigration status, sexual preference, or financial situation.
