Lucy Hansen was raised in Butte and Helena, Montana. She graduated from Carroll College and received her law degree from the University of Montana in 2002. While in law school, Lucy was a member of the Trial Team. She was awarded one of two Student Advocates of the Year Award at graduation. She is licensed to practice in State and Federal Courts. Lucy owned a solo family law practice from 2003-2006. From 2006 through 2012 she served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Child Protection Unit.. In 2013 Lucy returned to private practice and family law.  She represents clients going through the difficult process of divorce and/or parenting matters.  Lucy has focused her 19+ years of legal experience on family law and child welfare and is commited to helping her clients navigate the most difficult life experiences.  She finds tremendous reward in her ability to help others.  She  equally enjoys findings ways to resolve disputes outside of the courtroom, as well as her trial practice.  Each case is unique and Lucy has the experience to determine the most cost-effective and approrpriate course for each individual clilent.  She brings passion, knowledge, and commitment to each of her cases.. Outside of the office, Lucy enjoys spending time with her son and daughter, and enjoying all that Montana has to offer. She is an avid hiker, and enjoys kayaking, rafting, and canoeing on Montana's beautiful waters.  She also enjoys traveling all over Montana and representing clients across this great state.
