Darren Rodriguez joined Shook & Stone in 2018 as a Litigation Associate. Darren focuses his personal injury practice on all aspects of litigation, including identifying potential causes of action, conducting depositions, drafting and opposing all forms of motions, arguing in district court, and preparing cases for trial. Darren Rodriguez is a native Nevadan and proudly calls Las Vegas his hometown. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Darren then attended law school at the William S. Boyd School of Law where he graduated in 2012. While in law school, Darren served as Articles Editor for the UNLV Gaming Law Journal, the nation’s premier law review journal dedicated to gaming law. Darren also spent a semester during law school as a U.S. Senate Legal Intern, working in Washington, D.C. for the Senate Majority Leader, where he gained unique insights into the legislative process at the highest level.. Following law school, Darren passed the Nevada bar exam on his first attempt. He then began working as a deputized law clerk in the appellate division at the Clark County District Attorney’s Office where he focused on drafting appeals to the Nevada Supreme Court. After his time with the DA’s office, Darren began practicing civil litigation with an insurance defense firm where he gained valuable insights into the strategies used in defending personal injury lawsuits. Darren used those insights when he began practicing plaintiff’s personal injury in 2015. In addition to his personal injury experience, Darren has also practiced in the area of family law.
