Benjamin M. Birney is a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law.  Following law school, he was privileged to serve as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable John A. Woodcock, Jr. in the Federal District of Maine.  Benjamin is admitted to the practice of law in Maine, Massachusetts, and the Federal District of Maine.  Before he entered the practice of law, Benjamin spent ten years as a software developer and information technology consultant, first in his own firm and then as a Senior Project Manager and Developer for Tilson Technology Management.  In addition to legal work, he has experience in business process analysis, project management, software development, middleware design and implementation, digital forensic investigation, and software security testing and compliance.  In addition to experience in the United States domestic market, Benjamin also has experience as a technical consultant for clients in Canada, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.
