He was a member of the Wayne County Charter Commission which wrote the charter for the county government. He has also served on the Board of Governors at Wayne State University and the Board of Trustees at Sacred Heart Major Seminary.. Mr. Einheuser was one of the founding members of the Detroit Lighting Authority and now sits on the Detroit Board of Water Commissioners..
