Emma is a lifelong New Hampshire resident, with deep roots in her community. She grew up in Concord, and after leaving to attend college (Cornell University, B.S. 2002) and law school (Vermont Law and Graduate School, J.D., magna cum laude 2006), Emma returned home to take a position with New Hampshire Public Defender, where she practiced for 15 years, trying cases at every level of the trial courts, from juvenile matters to homicides, in nearly every county in the State. Her trial advocacy has been recognized by her peers, as she has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.. Her commitment to providing high quality legal services is the driving force in her career. In 2021 Emma joined 603 Legal Aid, New Hampshire’s frontline provider of civil legal services. In her roles, initially as Pro Bono Manager, and then as Deputy Director, Emma worked diligently to improve access to justice for Granite Staters.
