J. Matthew Guilfoil—Mr. Guilfoil received his undergraduate degree from DePaul University and his law degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He is Managing Member of The Guilfoil Law Group, L.L.C., in Kansas City, Missouri.. Mr. Guilfoil has completed the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) / National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) approved 20-hour course in the administration of standardized field sobriety tests and is one of only four defense attorneys certified as an IACP / NHTSA standardized field sobriety testing instructor in the State of Missouri.. He is certified to operate the Intoxilyzer 5000 breath-testing machine and has completed numerous training courses for both the Intoxilyzer 5000 and Datamaster breath-testing machines, the two most commonly used breath-testing devises used by law enforcement in Missouri. In 2008, Mr. Guilfoil also attended and completed rigorous, proficiency-based training at the Forensic Blood and Urine Seminar held in Atlanta, Georgia.. Mr. Guilfoil is also one of only two Missouri defense attorneys that has completed the 24-hour Drug Evaluation and Classification Overview Course, comprising the basis of the IACP / NHTSA Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) program. In 2003, 2006, and 2008, he attended the Summer Sessions of The National College of DUI Defense, a seminar taught by a faculty of the top trial attorneys in the United States which is held at Harvard University, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
