Jessica N. Foxx was born and raised in Independence, Missouri. She attended William Chrisman High School where she was active in Varsity tennis and other organizations. After high school, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Jessica then attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City where she graduated with honors and an emphasis in Family Law.. Prior to starting Foxx Law, L.L.C., Jessica was law clerk to the Honorable Jack R. Grate with the Jackson County Circuit Court. During law school, she interned with the Jackson County Circuit Court and the Department of Homeland Security. Jessica was active in the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law’s Child and Family Services Clinic, where she represented clients in Family Law matters. She served as President of the Family Law Society, Secretary of the Animal Law Society, and as a staff member for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Law Journal. She is a published author in the Journal of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the UMKC Law Review. Prior to law school, she worked for seven years as an estate planning and probate paralegal at Stewart, Cook, Constance & Minton, LLC.. Jessica is licensed to practice law in Missouri and is a certified Guardian ad Litem. Her practice is mainly dedicated to Family Law, Probate, and Estate Planning. She represents clients in dissolution of marriage (divorce), modification of custody and child support actions, establishment of child support actions, adoption matters, paternity actions, guardianship proceedings, and decedents’ estates administration.
