Although I've been practicing law since 1992, and handling estate matters and probate since 2002, I was determined to move into the Estate Planning and Elder Law fields following a family tragedy. My own experiences have led me to see my clients from a different perspective. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland I have my Bachelor’s in Business from Boston University and Law Degree from University of Miami.  Initially a member of the Maryland Bar Association (1992), I practiced in Baltimore prior to giving up on the cold winters.. I opened Andrea L. Jakob, PA in 2007 and I've been practicing in the areas of Wills, Trust and Estates, Elder Law, Business Law, Probate, Personal Injury, and PIP. In a community-related capacity, I have taught at both the college level as an adjunct professor at Miami-Dade College and at City College and as an instructor of Realtors,.
