After law school, Beverly worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for Jackson County in a grant-funded position and moved into private practice when the grant expired.. As a private attorney, she is the Managing Shareholder at Collis & Griffor, PC, and prides herself in her ability to get her clients the best results possible in their unique situations. Beverly has successfully represented clients in family, criminal and civil trials, negotiated business transactions, real estate deals, and advised clients in a variety of other matters. Beverly also holds a Masters in Business Administration and uses her business experience to assist her corporate & business clients handle transactional matters, business formation, seeking non-profit status, planning, purchases, and legal compliance.Beverly holds a PhD in Psychology, with concentrations in forensic psychology and neuropsychology. She has studied trauma, child testimony, and offender rehabilitation. Much of her work focuses on the application of scientific research in the courtroom. This blending of law and science is very important in cases involving custody disputes, sentence mitigation, evaluating the veracity allegations, competence, disability, and other areas. Beverly completed her internship with McCaskill Family Services and is currently providing therapy through the RIFN Clinic under the supervision of Dr. Joshua Kay. She has worked with the Research Institute for Forensic Neuropsychology since 2014 in various capacities.. Beverly currently teaches undergraduate and graduate-level courses at Concordia University. Beverly's courses include a variety of psychology, criminal justice, law, and business classes.
