Saura James Sahu is the Founding Principal of Clancy Advisors PLC, a venture capital law boutique specializing in innovative solutions for complex transactions, investigations and disputes. He currently focuses on venture funds, fund formation, high-quality emerging companies, and the mergers, acquisitions and disputes that are relevant to them. He was previously a Principal and Chair of the Recruiting Committee at Miller Canfield Paddock & Stone (Detroit), where he specialized in complex business litigation and internal corporate investigations. Mr. Sahu began his legal career as a federal judicial law clerk to the Hon. Julian Abele Cook, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. A member of the California and Michigan bars, he is the Immediate Past President of the Federal Bar Association (E.D. Mich. Chap.) and a Life Fellow of the prestigious American Bar Foundation. He has also served as an active member of the Labor Relations Committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
