In 1997, I graduated from the University of Georgia with a BA in Philosophy (Summa Cum Laude), earning my law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2000 (Magna Cum Laude).  I joined Fulcher Hagler, LLP in 2001, directly following a clerkship with the Honorable W. Leon Barfield, United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of Georgia.. As a member of the State Bars of Georgia and South Carolina, my litigation-oriented practice primarily incolces the representation of commercial and individual defendants emroiled in civil litigation, although I also enjoy and solicit Criminal Justice Act appointments from federal trial and appellate courts.  Among other bar-related pursuits, I presently serve on a standing committee in the US District Court for the Southern District of Georgia -- one of the few remaining federal districts nationwide without a federal public defender -- which advises the Court and makes recommendations to it concerning the CJA appointment process and management of the CJA panel.

I am devoted to protecting every client's professional and financial interests.  I am a business and healthcare lawyer focused upon representation of individual physicians and healthcare professionals, large medical practices, physician groups and medical associations, surgery centers, and other healthcare providers and healthcare related businesses. I regularly represent clients in challenging disputes, including complex civil litigation, administrative hearings, high stakes proceedings before Medical Boards and other licensing authorities, NPDB appeals, various law enforcement investigations and regulatory audits, and similar healthcare related matters.  I advise and represent my clients in transactional matters such as joint ventures and business contracts, partnership or shareholder agreements, employment and staffing matters, and business dissolution. I am licensed in Georgia and South Carolina and admitted to practice before all State and Federal Courts in Georgia and South Carolina, though, with the assistance of local counsel, we handle civil cases throughout the United States. When the practice of law permits, I greatly enjoy playing golf, waterskiing, cycling and other fitness endeavors, traveling and oil painting and, most of all, the company of my family and friends.
