In 2016 he was named to the Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, which includes less than 1% of practicing attorneys in the United States.  In 2022, Jon was selected for Texas Super Lawyers in his first year of eligibility and he has been selected every year since. In 2023, he was also selected to the Top 100 Personal Injury attorneys by the National Trial Lawyers. In addition to his legal practice, Jon is active with the Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA), an organization dedicated to protecting the rights of the people to seek justice in the Texas court system. He serves on the Board of Directors for TTLA and was the 2018-2019 Chair for TTLA's Advocates Committee, during which he founded the TTLA LEAD Academy.. In April of 2023, Jon and his co-counsels obtained an $860 million dollar verdict in the case Williams et al. v. Greystar Development & Construction, LP, et al. in Dallas County.. Jon is licensed to practice in all state courts in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Northern District and Western District of Texas and the United States District Courts for the District of New Mexico.
