David has extensive experience in all aspects of domestic and international intellectual property law. His expertise includes the prosecution of patent, trademark and copyright applications; clearance and infringement opinions; preparation and negotiation of licenses and assignments; and advising clients on trade secret issues.. Born in a United States Army Hospital in Aberdeen, Maryland 1957, Mr. Lakin is the son of an Army Doctor.         Mr. Lakin grew up in the Detroit Metropolitan area and graduated from Wayne State University; then attending Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University.      While attending law school, Mr. Lakin became interested in the area of Criminal Law.
