Sal Curcuru received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Wayne State University. Sal's undergraduate major was in accounting and he finished in the top five percent of his graduating class. He is a lifelong member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Golden Key national honor societies. He is a graduate of the Wayne State University Law School and received his MBA from Oakland University. He is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and is authorized to practice in the U.S. Tax Court. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Tax Section and the Michigan Association of CPAs Federal Tax Task Force.. In the past years, he has researched complex tax issues affecting his clients and developed tax strategies to reduce his clients' tax liabilities. He prepares personal and business tax returns and tax projections. He also performs a variety of accounting services such as financial statement preparation and financial statement reviews. Sal frequently speaks before groups including business owners and professionals.

I wanted to play major league baseball, but that didn't work out. So, I became an attorney, was the Editor-in-Chief of my law school's law review, and got an LL.M. in Taxation. My first job out of law school was as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Lawrence Gubow, US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, in Detroit. I stayed for two years and it was the perfect job for me to learn how to practice law, how judges think, and how good attorneys prepare their cases for court. Judge Gubow gave his law clerks a lot of responsibility, was super smart, a very hard worker, passionate about being a judge, compassionate for all, and courteous to the attorneys and their clients appearing before him. Although Judge Gubow recently passed away, he continues to be a role model for me. In 1977, I joined and became partners in a new law firm with Carl Gromek and Mark Bendure. Carl later became the Chief Clerk of the Michigan Court of Appeals and then went on to be the Clerk of the Michigan Supreme Court. Mark and I have remained partners since 1977.
