Thanks for taking the time to look at my profile and learn more about me.. Over the course of my career, I have counseled and represented clients in employment law matters, from basic consultative advice , handbooks, and policies, to federal court litigation. My main practice areas include, but are not limited to:. I have litigated cases in various forums within the States of Wisconsin and Illinois and am admitted to practice before the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and the Northern District of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse and earned my Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School.. Over the course of my entire legal career (even while clerking in law school), my only area of focus has been employment law. I do not and have not dabbled in other areas of the law. Thus, I'm not just someone who knows "a bit" of employment law, it's all I know and that is to my client's benefit.
Serving to equalize the disparity between corporate power and clients.

Nathan likes to meet new people and clients. During your initial consultation (always free) you'll talk about the facts of your situation, the legal options that may exist. From there, he'll work to see if there's a way to help. He has handled consumer protection cases - and jury trials - all over the state. Nathan and his paralegal (Ethan Webb, who will likely help you schedule the call) welcome your questions and calls.. Nathan's passion is representing consumers and litigating cases. He will take the time to listen to your story, outline a plan of attack, and your next steps from there. If you're not sure what type of lawyer you need, or if Nathan will be able to handle your case, just call and find out. It's a free phone consultation away. Nathan regularly represents consumers in matters involving automobile repossessions, identity theft, credit reporting errors, debt collection, debt collector harassment, auto fraud, and general consumer issues.. Nathan is one of the few lawyers that has taken consumer law cases all the way to trial, and his clients have received large jury verdicts. When interviewing lawyers it is important to find out if they are willing to take your case to trial. While many cases settle short of trial, Nathan enjoys presenting your case to a jury and allowing his clients to receive their day in court.. Nathan is licensed to practice law in the State of Wisconsin, as well as the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the Western District of Wisconsin, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. My practice focuses on estate planning and probate, helping clients navigate through will and trust planning, probate court, powers of attorney, and everything in between. As much as possible, I help my clients and their families avoid conflicts through comprehensive estate planning, probate-avoidance techniques, powers of attorney, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. I believe that preventative measures are always better than trying to fix a problem after it happens. That's not always possible, though. For situations where a conflict cannot be avoided, my approach is to limit emotionally draining and expensive legal battles to the extent possible while still fighting for you to make sure your interests are protected.. Before opening my own practice, I worked at several other firms, including a small family-owned office, a medium-sized multi-attorney general practice firm, and high-end firm on the top floor of an office building in downtown Milwaukee. I learned a lot from each of these experiences and was motivated by the successes of those I worked with to venture out and design a business that matched my own vision.. I received my law degree from Marquette University Law School in 2010. I focused my legal education on estate planning, dispute resolution, mediation, and restorative justice. While at Marquette, I founded and served as the President of the Restorative Justice Society. I also served on the boards of the Alternate Dispute Resolution Society and the Client Skills Board. I was inducted into the Pro Bono Society with high honors for outstanding volunteer involvement with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program and the Milwaukee Foreclosure Mediation Program. I also mediated small claims disputes at the Milwaukee County Circuit Court.. I received my undergraduate degree from Marquette University in 2005 with a triple major in English Composition, Philosophy, and Comparative Theology. I live in Wauwatosa with my wife and three children.
My approach to practicing law has always been about the client as a person. I try my hardest to give my clients the same advice I would give to my family. I believe humor and being down to earth are two very important traits as an advisor to people. Many people I see are dealing with a recent death and I try as best as I can to make this process one that is as stress free as possible.. Outside of law I am an avid car collector and enjoy scale model building and gardening. My hosta gardens are something I find to be very relaxing and rewarding. I enjoy spending time with my family and enjoy traveling and cooking.. I look forward to meeting new people and hope you will be one of them.
