I am a lifetime Northwest Indiana resident dedicated to providing quality legal services to the fellow residents of my home Region. Following my graduation from Morgan Township High School in 1998, I attended Indiana University at Bloomington, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with High Distinction in 2002. I then returned home to continue my education at Valparaiso University School of Law, completing my Juris Doctor studies in two and a half years, earning Semester Honors for Spring 2004, and graduating in December 2004. During law school, I completed externships with the Porter County Prosecutor’s Office and Porter Superior Court Mag. Edward Nemeth.. I was admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana in May of 2005, and have represented various government, municipal, and corporate clients including the Lake County Board of Commissioners, Gary Sanitary District, East Chicago Housing Authority, the City of East Chicago, the City of Lake Station, Gary Housing Authority, Vexor Technology, East Wind Acupuncture, and Midwest Carpenters & Millwrights FCU. I have also worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in both Lake and Porter Counties, and as an associate in a large-scale, multi-state bankruptcy practice. I have a wide variety of interests in the law, including municipal law, bankruptcy, employment, civil rights, worker’s compensation, and personal injury law.. Now, for the real stuff...I met my wife, Jenny, in 1996 at the age of 16 and am blessed to say I have been married to her since 2002. I am the father of three children, DJ (14), Luke (11), and Noelle (6). I help with homework as much as I can, coach travel baseball, try my hardest to figure out taekwondo and ballet, cook dinner, landscape, and try to stay busy while also trying desperately to teach my kids the finer points of life (mostly, just that it can be enjoyed). I am also a musician and a sports junkie who will watch or try to play anything that inovlves keeping score. Above all else, I am committed to growing my faith and the faith of those around me. I lead contemporary worship, occasionally write songs, blog, vlog, and try to act as the hands and feet of Christ always. I have also actively pursued a seminary education through Asbury Theological Seminary, which hopefully someday I might finish.. All of my work, legal and otherwise, is underscored by a foundational understanding that it is done for the glory of God, first and foremost. If I could choose four words to define my professional career, it would be "excellent attorney; better person."
