Kathleen McLaurin has more than 35 years of experience in advising clients in a wide variety of complex transactions with particular experience in the oil and gas industry. She has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions involving publicly traded and privately held companies. In addition to acquisitions and dispositions, she has advised clients in equity and debt financing transactions, both public offerings and Rule 144A offerings, and provided advice regarding corporate governance, particularly with fiduciary duties of directors of financially distressed entities. Ms. McLaurin currently is Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Petro Harvester Oil & Gas, LLC.. Ms. McLaurin is a member of the State Bar of Texas (Oil, Gas and Energy Law; Corporate Counsel; and Business Law Sections), the State Bar of Georgia, and the Dallas Bar Association (Energy Law and Corporate Counsel Sections). She is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and is board certified in oil, gas and mineral law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Jason A. Burris is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas County Bar Association, and Dallas County Young Lawyer's Association. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University (B.A. 2002) and South Texas College of Law (J.D. 2005). In law school, Jason was a member of the International Trade Journal and he participated in the Mock Trial Litigation Intramural Competition. He has served as the secretary and treasurer of the Greater Denton County Young Lawyer's Association where he also served as a director and volunteer for the Denton County Kinship Fair. Jason also served on the TYLA planning committee and was a speaker for The New Lawyer Course 2009, a continuing education course presented by Texas Bar CLE, and he helped co-write "The Evolving World of Electronic Medical Records" for a presentation given to the Texas Association of Defense Counsel. In 2010 and 2011, he was voted "Texas Rising Star" by Superlawyers.com. He practices in the areas of Insurance Defense Litigation, Premises Liability, Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation, Corporate Law, Consumer Law, and Landlord/Tenant Law.
