My statewide Colorado practice currently focuses on deals and disputes. I help businesses and individuals manage risk, bring greater clarity to their business decisions, and achieve successful outcomes in high-stakes litigation.. I am just as comfortable in the courtroom as I am in a boardroom. I argue and try cases before judges or juries, in court, every year. My litigation practice occasionally has me advocating on behalf of clients before regulatory panels and in administrative venues. For my clients not involved in litigation or needing to bring or defend a lawsuit, it is my goal to try to resolve issues and avoid disputes altogether. Katie focuses her practice on civil and commercial litigation.  She is an experienced case manager who has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a range of matters filed in federal courts across the country.  Most recently, Katie has worked on matters involving business litigation issues such as unfair competition and protection of trade secrets.  She works well in the demanding and fast pace of emergency proceedings which are oftentimes necessary when a business is threatened with unfair competition.  Katie has also practiced extensively in the area of mortgage industry litigation.
