My Role as a Mediator:. In year 2002, I became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator. As a mediator, I am a neutral third party who Facilitates and resolves family conflicts. I assist people who are either represented by attorneys or who are Self-Represented (formerly known as “pro se” litigants).
I completed my undergraduate studies at Gardner-Webb University in August of 1998. I started law school at Nova Southeastern University in 2000. While in law school, I was a member of the Law Journal and held various criminal defense related jobs throughout law school.. Upon graduation from law school,I was employed as a securities litigation attorney. I gained extensive trial experience in multiple jurisdictions as a securities litigation attorney.. In December, 2004, I opened my own firm with a focus on DUI and criminal defense.. I have handled criminal matters ranging from DUI, drug possession, drug trafficking and first degree murder.
I began my career as an attorney in 2005 with the Law Office of the Broward County Public Defender. For the next several years I defended those accused of committing crimes. While employed as an Assistant Public Defender, I tried over 50 jury trials to completion.. Prior to becoming an Assistant Public Defender, I graduated from Florida State University. While at F.S.U., I was a member of the Florida State cheerleading squad.. Following my graduation from F.S.U., I pursued a law degree from Nova Southeastern University. After years of litigation at the Public Defender's Office, I was awarded a full scholarship to Gerry Spence's intensive Trial Lawyers College in Wyoming. Studying under Gerry Spence and his team was a pleasure and as a result I became well versed in defending clients against corporate and government oppression.. In 2011, I joined Michael A. Gottlieb, P.A., as an associate lawyer. While working in conjunction with Mr. Gottlieb, we have enjoyed numerous successes in formulating motions and winning strategies to help win suppressions and dismissals in State and Federal Court..
